About Our High School Programs
High School students can choose from our four types of programs—expeditions, community service programs, photo workshops, or university workshops—and experience what it’s like to be on assignment for National Geographic. Group size generally ranges between 14 and 28 participants. Our community service programs are limited to 18 participants; photography workshops have generally 25-40 students; and university workshops accommodate up to 50 students.
On all of our high school programs, you’ll pursue a project related to your area of interest. That could mean creating a field guide, a portfolio of photographs, or a proposal for a project to carry out at home. At the end of the trip, you’ll share what you’ve created with the group, and return home with a meaningful and tangible project.
