After arriving in Taveuni and settling in, we headed straight to the beach in Nadi to relax, play games and head to bed for our first big day of diving and snorkeling.   While in the water the following day, we all saw tons of fish along the beautiful coral reef. The snorkelers even saw a shark! It was a nice, sunny day and the water was pretty and calm. On the boat on the way back, we learned about the underwater food chain and why each animal is important from our dive master.  We all had lots of fun!

The next day, walked, swam, and hiked more than eight miles across the beautiful island of Taveuni. We hiked along black sand beaches and discovered two gorgeous waterfalls.  Since arriving in Fiji the people have shown incredible generosity and hospitality. Right away we all noticed how kind and loving the people are here. From the airport to our final hours at the lodge, the people showed their love for the land and what they do. As our travels continue, there are many new people to meet, and stories to tell!
