Early in the morning we drove to Gregory Canyon—a local climbing spot, joined by our new Nat Geo Expert Sarah Polger. We met our guides at the trailhead where we were equipped with our climbing gear and began our trek to the rock wall. When we arrived at our climbing destination, we were quickly fitted into climbing shoes and began our exciting (and sometimes challenging!) climbs to the shiny carabiners at the top of each route. After many sweaty hours of climbing, we ate lunch and relaxed with some frisbee and gymnastics on Farrand Field, the iconic quad at the center of CU’s main dorm buildings. After our relaxing afternoon we were enlightened by Sarah’s presentation about her job at National Geographic and Nat Geo’s goals to go further in the future.
