Today, we visited the famous Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath) — massive, impressive, and full of harmless (probably Buddhist) monkeys that live side-by-side with humans. After this, we ventured out to Patan Square, an aesthetically pleasing UNESCO World Heritage Site, ate at the museum cafe, visited the museum, an exquisite Golden Temple, and finally, we met Kumari Devi, Nepal’s living goddess.
The Importance of Nonverbal Communication
Today, we found love in others in unconventional ways.
We bowed our heads with palms pressed together to say, “Namaste, the light within us honors the light within you.”
The smiles exchanged were paid in the currency of mutual respect, and we formed an unbreakable bond for that fleeting moment.
We even connected with monkeys through eye contact, even though we were told they might attack us if we looked for too long.
